Delivery:- Ritlee personally deliver most of our chippers so that we can do startup, with operator and maintenance training. If further than 150km from JHB we will charge for delivery.

Demonstrations:- If you are genuinely interested, Ritlee will come to you with a new chipper to demonstrate its capabilities and show you its structure. If you like the chipper we leave with full payment + Delivery charge, if you are not happy then we will leave with the machine at no charge to you at all!. We have never left with the machine!

Why Drum Style Chipper?

Chipper blade is mounted into drum on blade block and above chip pocket.

• This blade works parallel onto the wood being chipped --Not at a angle, thus there is NO rasping of wood along blade of wood being chipped
  • Imagine cutting a pencil with a scissors, the pencil rasps along the blade until you hold it back, then only is the pencil cut.
  • This is what happens with a Disc Style Chipper because blades are mounted into face of disc at 90degrees to centre.
  • Thus blades last up to 10x longer on our drum style chipper, giving you 10x more quality chips before the wood is ripped rather than chipped.
  • Ritlee fit 2 sided reversable blades with 2x sharp edges. I do not know of any disc style chipper with reversable blades.

Feed Roller-- Reasons why we have done without this!

Our opposition constantly tell potential customers that it is a disadvantage that our machine does not have a feed roller system. --This is nonsense, and they know it!

Yes, we do not have a feed wheel system which is totally NOT NEEDED, (The only time where we could have a slight need for a feed roller is when chipping bone dry poles like Treated Gum Poles or old wood pallets.- Here the pole will tend to bounce a bit.)

Because of our design, the material will self feed once the chipper blade makes contact with the wood. Even brushy wood, if not too large for the throat, is easily pulled in for chipping by our chipper.

For this price range of chippers, where the use is mostly farmers, smaller contractors, smaller councils etc where a full days work is required, but not work where a expensive, proffessional, unit should be used, then our 125 or 225 should be your choice.

Our Termight 125 and 225 has a massive advantage over those with feed rollers in that together with normal woods, it will easily and effectively chip soft woods like whole Banana Trees, Strelitzia Trees etc. Chippers with a feed roller will vurtually instantly block because the roller first will mulch this material into a wet sticky mush when passed through the feed rollers, then try chip. This never will work!

Composting: The chip produced by our Termight 125 and 225 is ideal for composting. Not too big and not too small. +80% is between 1 and 2 cm in size. (Too small and the microbes decompose this too quickly, when food done the microbes go dormant. With larger chips the microbes will take a few weeks longer to decompose the material, this also allowing them to multiply to double or three times the count you would have had with small chips. 1 to 2cm ideal for composting over some 12 weeks.)--This also applies for Fungal which you want if growing a "Grass"

Please Note:

Chipper chipping capacity is determined by the dimensions of the inlet THROAT or the maximum a feed rollers can open to try grip the material being chipped.

The Advantage of this Ritlee throat is that it is nice and large and will grip when chipping either wood, fiberous or branchy brush material. Once this blade makes contact with the material being chipped, it automatically feeds the entire brush, or thick nody branch or wood or complete banana tree, no problem!

The 2nd advantage is that if soft material like Banana, Stralitzia or leafy material is fed, it will be directly chipped and not compressed by feed rollers into a mush before chipping which will block the system.

Please, it is a wood chipper, not a leaf only or cut grass only chipper. --This Light material will block the unit!
