Ritlee were the first SA company to manufacture the drum style chipper in SA! We started with the 125 and then some 24 months later we designed and developed the 225 (See Reasons below) (Manny have tried to copy, but they have forfeited strength and quality for price!)
Over the years, Ritlee has literally sold well over 300 Ritlee 125 and 225 Tractor and Trailer Mounted wood chippers into South African, African and cerrounding islands Market. Tractor Mounted Unit: Min and Max power of tractor Model 125 Requires to be fitted to a tractor with a minimum power of 21kw and a max power of some 40kw, with 540pto and standard category 1 three point linkages.	Tractor Mounted Unit: Min and Max power of tractor Model 225 Requires to be fitted to a tractor with a minimum power of 25kw and a Max of some 50Kw, with 540pto and standard category 1 three point linkages
Max power used should not exceed 65kw. Our Tractor mounted 225 can now take this power very easily with the improvements we have built into the drive from the PTO to the drum.
125 & 225 Drum, Blade Mounting and Blade Pocket (Both)

General Body Structure: (Both) 1.Discharge made of 5mm Pressed Steel and has: 360 Degree Directional discharge setting (Horizontal Setting) 90 Degree adjustable flipper for vertical discharge 2. Drum is precision and dynamic balanced at experts then only assembled for a perfectly smooth balanced action 3. Drum is 45kg in weight with 1 or 2 blades mounted. 4. Drum: 12mm Thick steel, then has unique chip pockets below mounting area of chipper blade. 5. Blade bolts are High Tensile 27mm special bolts! (4x per blade!) 6. Ritlee Safety Plate mounted above blade allows 4x bolts to lock into plate for extra security. 7. Drum has our unique 27cm long x 6cm x 3cm thick solid steel blade mounting block which is angled for smooth throw at discharge. Chipper Chamber housing made of 6mm thick pressed steel with moisture and water discharge point to prevent rust.
125 & 225 Blades (Both) Blade is sharp on 2x Sides, is 2,8kg in weight, and is sized 26,6 long x 12,7cm wide x 1,27cm thick!
Throat Opening at Chipping drum. (Both) Feed Tray and Discharge Shoot both made of 5mm pressed steel.

General Performance Notes: (Both)
Branches full of leaves will easily be chipped. Leaves on their own can block unit.-- needs weight of wood to assist with a good and efficient discharge! Will chip Soft Fibrous wood like Banana with ease without blocking like vurtually all other machines on the market. Above Exception picture customer is feeding 180mm Black wattle wood which is exceptionally hard! Ritlee's unique desigh effectively and effiently pulls wood and brush into chipper as she is working. Discharge has 360 degree rotation with bumper deflector. (Oposition constantly tell customers our machine is not self feeding-- This is totally not true-- We will easily prove this, or, your call to one of our customers will put this nonsense to bed!
Main Reasons why 225 was designed and produced by Ritlee in prefrence to 125. (Difference between 125 and 225)
125 has 1x blade, 225 has 2x blades: (125) --When sharpening (1) one blade only, after 2nd or 3rd sharpen, weight is less, thus single blade will cause balance problems. (225) -- When sharpening (2) two blades, both are sharpened at the same time, thus keeping weight the same, thus NO balance problems.. We Found as well: Doubled up on production with 225 over the 125 chipper. Doubled up on capabilities, capacities and size of wood with 225 over 125. Price on 225 is only some 4% more than 125 (Tractor unit)

From Normall Chipping to the other end of the scale. Both extremes are easily handled. Please Note: Leaves only will block the unit!--Needs the weight of twigs and branches to assist with throw.-Branches with leaves-- No Problem at all! From Standard chipping then to the Exception. Ritlee was challenged by a KZN customer to chip 200mm diameter Black Wattle logs. (Done under 1 minute!) We can confidently do this because our chipper is the only SA chipper with over engineered chipper housing, chipper drum, blades, blade mountings, carrier shaft, matched V-Belts etc.	Ritlee have been asked at times by customers for certain changes to the standard chipper: 1. Tractor Mount to have infeed turned by 90 degrees so that labourers feed from back directly behind tractor (We did this with 90 deg 45kw 1:1 gearbox. -- Cost below R3,000 for fitting this conversion and adding counter weight for chassis balance!) 2. See also above shortened Discharge for row pruning and chipping without damaging the trees! 3. Lemon profile discharge with flipper for Mac Farmers for chipping and dumping chips directly below trees for mulch.
